Thank you for your interest in our dogs and breeding program. In order for us to make the best possible decisions in regards to the placement of our dogs we ask that you fill out completely the following questionnaire and return to us. You may either print out and mail to us or cut and paste into an e-mail and return.

What research have you done on the Akita ?

Are you familiar with the characteristics of the Akita and understand that as a breed they can be animal aggressive and that they are NOT the breed for someone who wishes to frequent dog parks ?

Do you fully understand the time/effort required to properly socialize/train and care for an Akita ?

Do you understand that an Akita is not the breed for a family that has an open door policy for neighborhood children ?

Do you understand that all children must always be completely supervised around any dog at all times ? Children should never be allowed to run, scream and chase each other when an Akita is around.

How many adults in the household ?

How many children and what are their ages ?

Do you understand that dogs can consider hugging and hanging on them as a dominance gesture rather than affection as we humans see it and that children especially should not be allowed to hug, hang on, ride or generally tease or torment a dog ?
